Welado carries out quality assurance on the Krösatåget

22.10.2026

Welado’s senior vehicle consultants Stefan Öqvist, Mats Arnoldsson and Raimo Hotti inspect and check the quality of trains from the manufacturer CAF on behalf of Transitions. The photograph was taken during winter testing on the Haparanda line. The trains are being built at the CAF factory in Beasain in northern Spain and will eventually enter service on the Krösatågen network.

Krösatågen is a regional train service in Sweden, operating in Småland, Halland and Blekinge, with some shorter routes extending into Östergötland and Skåne. Twenty-eight new trains have been ordered and are expected to enter service in 2026.

Welado has been involved in Krösatågen’s new rolling stock project for around ten years, from defining requirements for signalling and vehicle communication, through the selection of a supplier and the award of the contract, right up to the present, when the trains are currently being built.
